Information that you should know

The racetrack will open for training on Sunday, April 8th. You may begin to set up your stalls on Friday, April 6th. Horses may begin to ship in on Saturday, April 7th. To start, training hours will be 8 am until 11:00 am until further notice.

* Sunday, April 15th - Training hours change to 7 am - 10:30 am (NO BREAK), until further notice. *

The 2012 racing season will run from Sunday, May 6th until Tuesday, October 30th. Live racing will be offered on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays with post time beginning at 1:15 pm however, during the months of June, July and August we will run Twilight cards on Tuesdays with a 4:15 pm post time. The Prince of Wales is scheduled for Sunday, July 15th. Quarter Horse racing will once again be offered on July 2nd, August 6th and September 3rd as mixed cards with full Quarter Horse cards offered October 3rd, 6th, 10th, 13th, and 17th.  Race dates can be viewed here.

Horsepeople requiring Stall Applications from the Fort Erie Race Track are asked to call Harry Eder, Coordinator of Horsepeople’s Relations at (289) 303-7982. If you would like to have a Stall Application sent to you please forward your request to:

CONDITION BOOKS

Condition books can be picked up at the Racing Department located at the Fort Erie Race Track. Horsemen can also call (905) 994-3609 to have a book sent to them or submit a request to:

IN AND OUT SLIPS

To view an in & out slip, please click here. To print the in & out slip select the Print option from the Acrobat menu.

All horses shipping in or out of Fort Erie Race Track will be required to have in or out slips approved by the Race Office.
Horsepeople will be required to fill in request forms available in the Race Office or on our website.
These forms must be fully completed and returned to the Race Office.
In or out slips will be issued the following day upon approval of the Racing Secretary/Stallman.
Be advised that the Race Office will be closed on Wednesday's necessitating requests to be made on Monday during normal business hours if you plan to ship a Horse on either Wednesday or Thursday. 

No horses will be allowed in or out of the stable area without an in or out slip!

Safety Rules and Regulations

Welcome to the 2012 Live Racing season at Fort Erie Race Track. Fort Erie asks that everyone follow the Rules and Regulations for the safe operation of the facility. Our policy manual is available to view or download by clicking here.

The Rules and Regulations outlined in the policy manual have been put into place to ensure the safety of the horses, persons and property. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with this document.

ORC LICENCE

Presently, the individual ORC licence form is not available online. However, a mult-jurisdictional form can be downloaded by following the link to the Association of Racing Commissioners International.
