Villeneuve Wins Four

Fort Erie, May 22…Jockey Francine Villeneuve booted home four winners Sunday afternoon pushing her season total to 13 wins in only ten days of racing.

Villeneuve got the day started when she guided Party Believer ($7.80) to victory in race three. She came right back to win the fourth aboard race favorite Wild T’ Mater ($3.70). The veteran rider won the sixth race of the day with Scale The Heights ($10.30) and completed her four-win afternoon when Winter Holiday ($6.30) nosed out Prize and Honor at the wire in Sunday’s eighth race.

Francine Villeneuve is Canada’s all-time leading female rider with close to 850 career wins. She was the 2004 recipient of the Avelino Gomez Memorial Award for her significant contributions to Canadian racing.

Fort Erie now offers live racing four days a week, Saturday through Tuesday. Post time each day is 1:05.
