Wins Sunday's Fifth Race
FORT ERIE,
May 16...Super Star Status, with Kirk Johnson in the
irons, lit up the Fort Erie tote board Sunday afternoon. The
three-year-old son of Honour and Glory scored an impressive
four-length victory at odds of 45-1.

Race Track.
It was the first
win of the season for both jockey Kirk Johnson and trainer
Henry Whelan. Also the first win of the year for owner
Joseph MacKinnon.
Super Star Status
paid $93.00 to win. Gargarin finished second under jockey
Rui Pimentel while Betty Jo Williams guided Maksymillian
Kolbe to a third place finish. Sunny Singh was aboard Air
Horizon, who finished fourth.
The 5th race exactor
returned $343.00, the triactor paid $1,175.30 and the $1
superfecta returned $1,537.10.
