Trainer Norm Bowles Passes Away

FORT ERIE, January 21...Norm Bowles, longtime Ontario thoroughbred trainer, passed away Tuesday, January 20 at age 69.

Bowles, who trained horses for over 40 years, started at the track at the tender age of 14 and became a full-time trainer at age 26. He spent the next 43 years between Woodbine and Fort Erie.

Bowles is survived by his wife Laura and sons Kent and Les.

Church will open at 2:00pm to allow family and friends to share memories, the service will begin at 3:00pm.
