2008 Racing Season Opens in May

The 111th season of live racing at Fort Erie Race Track opens on Saturday, May 3. The 80-day meet runs through to Tuesday, October 28.

Opening weekend will offer live racing on Saturday and Sunday.

Beginning Sunday, May 11 the track will begin racing three days a week, Sunday through Tuesday and will do so through to closing day.

Three Saturday programs will be offered, not including opening day. Saturday racing will held be on July 19, August 30 and October 25 (click here to view schedule).

Post time each racing day is 1:05pm.

The Fort Erie Stable area will open Sunday, March 23. This will be a set-up day for horsemen and stable area suppliers.

Training on the main track, weather permitting, will start on Monday, March 24. Training hours yet to be determined.
