Bent
Attorney Looks to Make it Two in a Row on Fort Erie Turf
FORT ERIE,
August 13...Centennial
Farms Bent Attorney will be looking for her second straight
win on the Fort Erie grass when she meets five rivals in
Sunday’s $125,000 Rainbow Connection Stakes.
The five-year-old
daughter of Crown Attorney is coming off a solid effort
in the Ernie Samuel Memorial back on July 12, a race she
won by a length. She covered the five furlongs on the turf
in 57 2/5 over a course that was listed as good. She will
likely get the same footing on Sunday and will be travelling
the same distance.
“I think
things will go pretty much the same way Sunday as they
did last time,” said trainer Don MacRae. “There
should be speed to run at. She was able to stalk the leaders
and it looks like she’ll be able to stalk again.”
Tyler Pizzaro
will have the mount in the Rainbow Connection. Pizzaro
rode Bent Attorney to a second place finish in the Zadracarta
Stakes at Woodbine prior to the Ernie Samuel.
The Rainbow Connection
will be the 6th race on the 8 race program which gets underway
at 1:45pm.
