SANDSPIT settled well back, moved quickly going into the far turn, split rivals, went after the leaders from the 4-path and rallied strong to prevail clear late. FLAT ROCK stalked the leader in a good trip, bid and took the lead briefly in mid stretch then was outgunned late by outside foe. SMILING JORDAN in mid field, made up ground on the far turn, was a factor into the stretch then got up for the show over tiring rival. SPREAD THE NEWS had speed to open a gap, led into the far turn, was under strong handling then weakened inside in the drive. MESAWMI off the pace, trailed, then had a mild wide gain to be in the picture turning for home while 5-wide but had no final kick. DISBELIEF was well back in the early going, failed to threaten and was not a stretch factor. COLDWAR rated in mid field, had no rally and no impact. TYLER'S JEWEL in mid field and a mild middle move then hung. COOL PROPOSAL backed away after being up on the early pace. BREAK EVEN was well back and showed little. The rider of TYLER'S JEWEL lodged a claim of foul against the winner for alleged interference on the far turn. After a review the STEWARDS disallowed the claim of foul.
