Bright N Golden Wins 2008 Don Valliere Memorial Cup

BRIGHT N GOLDEN vied in the early going from inside of rival, shook clear on the turn, held sway in an off the rail drive and proved best. BREAK EVEN unhurried in the early going, closed inside on the turn, bid in the 4-path and split foes in the drive to finish well. TYLER'S JEWEL came from off the early pace to angled to the rail for a stretch bid, rallied from there and finished off a good try. DILLON SAID outside of foes and tracking the speed battle, kept in the game throughout, but had no late kick while wide. FREZACON dueled for the lead then tracked the pacesetter into the stretch and weakened. DRAVEN'S CROSS tracked the speed battle and was in touch on the turn but had no stretch bid. SPIRIT TO RUN raced in mid pack, lost ground and tired. TOTHEMOONANDBACK was off the pace and never a threat. YEAR AFTER YEAR showed little in an off the pace run.
