Flashy Pink Wins 2007 Rainbow Connection Stakes

FLASHY PINK had speed to show the way into the turn, opened a gap and held sway into the stretch then stayed well clear under good handling to the wire. TIMELY MATTER in mid field early, saved ground into the stretch, bid from the rail in the drive and was up for the place under steady urging. SHOT GUN ELA tracked the leader while inside, was just off the rail and chasing into the stretch then finished in an off the rail drive and missed the place spot late. TOP TEN LIST in striking distance and off the rail on the turn, bid from the 3-path but needed more. SIWA chased the speed, was a factor into the stretch from off the rail then gave way in the drive. IMPRESSARIA was squeezed back in the early going and failed to threaten thereafter. BOSSKIRI was four wide early from mid pack, entered the stretch from the 4-path then had no rally. SILVER FOXTRAIL was off the pace, lacked a bid and was never a serious factor.
