Cold War Wins 2006 St. Catharines Cup

COLD WAR took charge after going a half, held a slim lead then widened in early stretch and proved clearly best in an off the rail drive. TONELESS never far back, bid between foes on the far turn, looked a danger then was no match late. ROY MASSIAH off the early pace, gained ground then bid inside in the drive and finished willingly. MAJESTIC DEPUTY off the early pace, gained and bid 4-wide on the far turn then lacked the needed outside finish. WINGED OVER had inside speed to lead early, pressed from the rail, backed off then gave way after saving ground. KERROBERT pressed the pace outside and remained a factor into the far turn then tired. CRUISING FOR GOLD was off the pace and lacked a rally.
