Fire
the Firm Wins
2006 Parnitha Cup

FIRE
THE FIRM had good outside speed to be a factor from the
outset, pressed the pace on the turn and was three wide
and battling in the drive then prevailed late in a game
effort. WIRE EDITOR had speed to be close, was between
foes and battling to the wire and missed in the final strides.
CHEMISTRY CLASS stalked the speed battle then put in a
bid in the drive, angled out for a clear run in the final
yards, finished well but too late. PENTHOUSE PRINCE stalked
the pace then made an inside run through the stretch, bumped
inside foe while looking for a path, was steadied and evened
out. HANDLEBAR HANK came from off the pace to angle outside
of foes and then bid from the 6-path, was going well late
to no avail. PORTOFINO CREEK came from mid field to put in
a mild 5-path bid but needed more. ONTARIO ROAD had a mild
late try after coming from off the pace but did not menace.
MAJOR ZEE had early speed, led the way, was in a front
end tussle turning for home then gave way late on the rail
while being bumped by rival. TYLER'S JEWEL passed a tired
one. SEA SCONE was off the pace and never close.
