Kimchi Wins 2006 Labatt Bison City Stakes

KIMCHI tracked the speed and kept close from outside the leader, pressured that one into the far turn, dueled to mid stretch then edged clear under strong handling. SWEET BREANNA in striking distance while inside, saved ground on the far turn and kept in the hunt then angled out for the stretch rally got into high gear, closed but could not reach the winner. ESSENTIAL EDGE had inside speed to lead into the clubhouse turn, held a slim advantage into the far turn then took on the winner, battled into mid stretch and then gave way in the final furlong. ARDEN BELLE settled off the pace, failed to rally and was not a stretch threat. KEEPING DA FAITH stumbled at the break, rated up close and on the outside for five furlongs then backed away. FAMILY LOVE was bumped at the break, raced in the trailing spot and was never a factor.
