Archers Alyancer Wins 2006 Daryl Well Sr. Memorial Stakes

ARCHERS ALYANCER tracked the leader and kept contact, bided his time as three foes dueled into the stretch turn then went up and bid 3-wide in the stretch, rallied willingly and proved best under strong handling. SMILING JORDAN pressed the pace and was close throughout, then between foes and going for it turning for home, vied to the wire but was outfinished. SANDSPIT trailed the field for six furlongs then angled out for a stretch run and finished fast wide and late. ALLEGED RULER had speed to lead the way, was under outside pressure into the far turn, dueled into the stretch then gave way late. LENNY THE LENDER stumbled at the break, moved up outside foes to be a factor into the far turn, pressed and dueled into the stretch then drifted out slightly and tired. OPEN LOCK closed ground on the far turn from behind the three leaders and looked a factor entering the stretch then evened out.
