Spanish Decree Wins 2005 Ernie Samuel Memorial Stakes

SPANISH DECREE had and inside trip and stayed in contact with the leaders into the far turn, angled out and bid 3-wide in early stretch then rallied strong and finished clear. TAMARA tracked the speed then went up to bid outside of that one on the far turn, gained command in early stretch then was not able to match the strong outside rally of the winner. MISS FILIBUSTER never far back, was in touch through the far turn then rallied in the 4-path and had a good late closing move. CLUBAY had early speed to open a gap, led into the far turn, kept battling from the inside into the stretch then gave way. FLASHY ANNA raced wide, was in the 5-path turning for home then lacked a finish. MISS BRIARTIC trailed and was not a factor.
