Kirlan Wins 2005 Centre Stage Anne Cup

KIRLAN in mid pack in the early going, made up ground on the leader and split foes turning for home, then cleared rivals and was kept to task to the wire. CLUBAY outside of foes and in touch with the speed, closed and was four wide turning for home, put in a good rally but could not match the winner. IWONTSTOPDANCING saved ground, had work to do turning for home then rallied strong and finished fast on the inside but late. DIXIE SOUP closed into the far turn after being well back early, looked a danger
turning for home then had a mild belated run from outside of foes. LINDSEY'S DOVE had the speed to take the field into the first turn, led until the turn for home then failed to match rivals in the drive. ORIENTALSPRINGHOPE raced well back and trailed then had some late gain to no avail. BLUE CREEKER in the game and in striking distance on the far turn, lacked a finish and evened out. PLAMOR PRINCESS never far back, was inside into the stretch and got the nose in front briefly then tired. SHOWBIRD up close early, tracked the leaders then backed away. JULES RULES was well back and not a threat. GREAT HEIR backed away after being in striking distance early. SHE'SAMYSTERY GIRL pressed the pace for a half then backed off and faded.
